Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (8,427) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.

A total of (31,976) people have been arrested by the junta for opposing their arbitrary seizure of power. Of those arrested, (14,847) are confirmed to still be in detention, while (7,856) remain to be verified.

These are the numbers reported by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.

According to the data collected by AAPP, from January 1 to September 25, 2026, (106) people in total; (21) women and (85) men, were killed in detainment by the junta across the country, including (17) children under the age of 18. These are the numbers that have been verified. Among the (106) deaths, Magway Region records the highest number of fatalities, totaling (37), followed by (34) people in Bago Region. During the stated period, the AAPP has also received information regarding the death of (155) civilians who were killed under detention, whose identities have yet to be confirmed.

On August 25, junta forces arrested Pa Do Sian Mang in Kale Township, Sagaing Region, while he was delivering goods. He was severely beaten at the interrogation center, where he later died. His family received his body. Pa Do Sian Mang lived in Heilei Village, Tedim Township, Chin State, and worked as a taxi driver in Kale Township.
