October, 2025 Monthly Chronology
From October 1 to 31, 2025
3 November 2025
According to information gathered by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), there have been a total of (4) individuals who were arrested under political pretenses in October 2025. Moreover, (114) pro-democracy activists and civilians have lost their lives this month. Among them, (8) lost their lives under various circumstances following their arrest.
These are the numbers verified by AAPP and only includes information and data that has been identified. The actual numbers on the ground are likely much higher. AAPP has been working separately to collect and verify the information of around (110) people still under identification, who died within the month.
“According to the data collected by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) in October 2025, among the 114 civilians killed by the junta’s attacks, 101 lost their lives due to airstrikes and heavy weapon shelling targeting civilian areas, including monasteries and basic education primary schools. The bombing of religious buildings and schools is a cowardly act, strictly forbidden by international law. If regional countries, such as those in ASEAN, as well as UN bodies, fail to take effective action against the junta, it will only embolden their operations. We also urge the international community not to recognize the election being conducted by the junta, which continues to commit such acts of terrorism against the civilian population.”
