Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (786) houses and buildings have been sealed off by the junta between February 2021 and October 2022.
Since the February 1, 2021, military coup and the emergence of the Spring Revolution, a total of (2463) people, pro-democracy activists and other civilians have been killed through military crackdowns following pro-democracy movements.
Since the coup, a total of (12974) people are currently under detention, (1645) of whom are serving sentences. There are a total of (86) post-coup death row prisoners as of November 15, 2022. (121) people have been sentenced in absentia, of whom (42) have been sentenced to death. This makes a total of (128) people who have been sentenced to death. (22) people have been released on bail and (3195) people have already been released. These are the numbers verified by AAPP. The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
On November 7, the armed wing of the junta took two villagers, Phoe La Pyae and Sein Thant, hostage during a military offensive operation approaching Wet Pyit village, Ayadaw township, Sagaing region. Their hands were tied, and they were shot dead in the head at close range, near Kywe Chan village on Ayadaw-War Taw Ma road.
On November 11, around 60 soldiers launched an offensive in villages near Si Thar Myay village, beating a man over 50 from Pan Kone Village, as well as a man from Kan Pauk Village, to death.
