Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (780) houses and buildings have been sealed off by the junta between February 2021 and September 2022.
Since the February 1, 2021, military coup and the emergence of the Spring Revolution, a total of (2394) people, pro-democracy activists and other civilians have been killed through military crackdown following pro-democracy movements.
Since the coup, a total of (12767) people are currently under detention, (1601) of which are serving sentences. There are a total of (84) post-coup death row prisoners as of October 26, 2022. (121) people have been sentenced in absentia, of whom (42) have been sentenced to death. This makes a total of (126) who have been sentenced to death. (22) people have been released on bail and (3179) people have already been released. These are the numbers verified by AAPP. The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
On October 20, at around 4 PM, junta fighter planes bombed an area while there was an opening ceremony taking place at a hospital in Man Yue Gyi Village in Banmauk Township, Sagaing Region. Khin Mar Cho, a local, died on the spot, whilst 6 children were seriously injured. A hospital was destroyed and 5 households burned down.
On October 21, at around 1 PM, junta forces bombed a hospital, staff housing, and a hall in Kyaung Lal Village, Banmauk Township in Sagaing Region, with 2 fighter planes. As a result, a local man was killed instantly, and a woman was injured.
AAPP will continue to inform on verified daily arrests, charges, sentences and fatalities in relation to the attempted coup, and update the lists with details of these alleged offenses.
