Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (57၀) houses and buildings have been sealed off by the Junta since the 2021 coup up until April 2022.
As of May 6, 2022, (1825) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (3) fallen heroes today. These (3) fallen heroes from Budalin Township in Sagaing Region and Hpakant Township in Kachin State were killed today and on previous days and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of May 6, 2022, a total of (10545) people are currently under detention. (1042) people have been sentenced in person, of them 65 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1977 are evading arrest warrants. 120 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 41 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 106 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
On May 6, at around 4 AM, the armed wing of the junta came into Kan Thit Village, Budalin Township, Sagaing Region, and burned it down. A 78-year-old woman was burned to death.
On May 3, at around 8 PM, the armed wing of the junta shelled Madayan (Maw Bone) Village, Hpakant Township, Kachin State with heavy weaponry, causing the deaths of villagers Maung Htoo and Yone Kywe.
AAPP will continue to inform on verified daily arrests, charges, sentences and fatalities in relation to the attempted coup, and update the lists with details of these alleged offenses.
