Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (547) houses and buildings have been sealed off by the Junta since the 2021 coup up until March 2022.
As of April 29, 2022, (1803) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (3) fallen heroes today. These (3) fallen heroes from Launglon Township in Tanintharyi Region and Kanbalu Township in Sagaing Region were killed on previous days and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of April 29, 2022, a total of (10449) people are currently under detention. (1029) people have been sentenced in person, of them 65 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1977 are evading arrest warrants. 120 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 41 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 106 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
On April 28 at around 9:30 pm, two local villagers named Kyaw Htwe and Pe Than were shot and killed, while two others were seriously injured as Pyu Saw Htee members entered the houses of local villagers in Pan Da Lal Village, Launglon Township, Tanintharyi Region. These shootings followed the death of a Pyu Saw Htee member living in that village who was killed the same day, in the morning.
Two 88 Generation Students named Nu Nu Aung and Khet were arrested by the armed wing of the Junta on April 26 in Hpa-An Township, Kayin State. The next day, Nu Nu Aung’s 80-year-old mother as well as her daughter were both arrested in Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region.
AAPP will continue to inform on verified daily arrests, charges, sentences and fatalities in relation to the attempted coup, and update the lists with details of these alleged offenses.
