Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (440) houses and buildings have been sealed off by the Junta since the 2021 coup up until February 2022.
As of March 8, 2022, (1623) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (3) fallen heroes today. These (3) fallen heroes from Madaya Township in Mandalay Region and Pauk Township in Magway Region were killed on March 5, 2o22 and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of March 8, 2022, a total of (9533) people are currently under detention. (833) people have been sentenced in person, of them 45 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1973 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 84 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
On March 1, 2022, the house of the village administrator exploded in Gwegyi Village, in Kyaung Kone Village Tract, Mandalay Region’s Madaya Township. When the junta soldiers arrived at the village, a civilian named Wai Phyo Aung, his three family members, and three other friends were arrested. On the night of March 5, soldiers brought Wai Phyo Aung to the village, searched the area, and shot him to death in a road nearby.
On the night of March 5, 2022, the armed wing of the Junta raided and fired artillery shells at Inn Nge Daunk Village, in Magway Region’s Pauk Township. The military soldiers arrested Aye Aye Win, aged 42 years old, and her daughter Yati Moe, aged 3 years old, while they were preparing to run away. Aye Aye Win was raped then killed at a public resthouse in front of her home, a 3-year-old Yati Moe was also stabbed in the chest.
