Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of December 22, (1362) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (11) fallen heroes today. These (11) fallen heroes from Lewe Township in Naypyitaw, Myingyan Township and Pyi Gyi Dagun Township in Mandalay Region and Gantgaw Township in Magway Region were killed on previous days and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of December 22, a total of (8172) people are currently under detention. (402) people have been sentenced in person, of them 36 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1964 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 75 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
Hla Min Maung, a middle school teacher of Madotpin Village School in Lewe Township, Naypyitaw, who is involved in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), was killed during interrogation on December 21. He was arrested by the armed wing of the Junta, on the night of December 20.
On December 19, at around 7 pm, Soe Hein, living in Nelchar Village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, was shot dead in the chest by seven soldiers from the armed wing of the Junta, a village administrator and two Pyu Saw Htee members, while Soe Hein was at home.
