Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of December 6, (1303) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. Today, there were no confirmed fallen heroes. This is the number verified by AAPP, the actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of December 6, a total of (7796) people are currently under detention. (357) people have been sentenced in person, of them 36 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1963 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 75 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
Today, State Counsellor, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President, U Win Myint, were each sentenced to four years imprisonment under Section 25 of the Natural Disaster Management Law and Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code. Both have been detained since February 1. Zabu Thiri Township judge U Maung Maung Lwin handed down the sentence at a Private Court set up in Nay Pyi Taw. The lawsuits used were Section 25 of the Natural Disaster Management Law and Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code, each giving 2 years prison terms.
On December 4 at around 11 pm, a 12-year-old called Banyar Han, was arrested as a hostage in Satone-Gway Kone Village (Ywar Ma) in Myothit Township, Magway Region when Junta soldiers did not find his father. In addition to this, two locals living in the same village, named Nyan Tun and Win Hlaing, were arrested. Nyan Tun and Win Hlaing were public campaigners for an NLD victory in the run-up to the November election.
