Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of November 26, (1294) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (1) fallen hero today. This (1) fallen hero from Shwebo Township in Sagaing Region was killed on November 25 and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.

As of November 26, a total of (7580) people are currently under detention. (341) people have been sentenced in person, of them 34 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.

On November 25 at around 6 pm, Win Min Tun, who drove a motorbike, was shot dead by junta soldiers in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. The youth who sat on the back seat of the motorbike escaped.

On November 25 at around 10 am, Kyaw Khaing Win, who is a teacher involved in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), and villagers named Than Zaw and Hlaing Win, were arrested by plain-clothed personnel of the armed wing of the Junta in Kani Village in Myine Township, Magway Region.
