Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of November 20, (1281) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (3) fallen heroes today. These (3) fallen heroes from Kalay Township in Sagaing Region were killed on a previous day and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of November 20, a total of (7436) people are currently under detention. (296) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
On November 14 the armed wing of the Juna arrived at Yaykyi Pauk Village in Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region to arrest Htay Aung. When they did not find the NLD party member, they detained his 13-year-old son as hostage.
On November 13 at around 10 am, the armed wing of the Junta came to Wae Laung Ywar Thit Village in Taungthar Township, Mandalay Region. When the troops failed to find its former village administrator Thein Naing Tun, village administration member Nyo Min Thant, or alleged PDF Nyeing Chan Shin, they detained the wife of Thein Naing Tun and a young philanthropist named Thein Zaw a.k.a. San Htoo, as hostages.
On November 6 around 5 am, the armed wing of the Junta did not find Than Lwin Oo, Maw Naing, Kaung Khant, Phoe Thar, Chan Phyo, Moe D, Win Thaw and Thaw Zin, from Let Wei Myin Ni Village in Nahtogyi Township, Mandalay Region. In retaliation, they detained seven villagers as hostages, including the mother of Kaung Khant, father of Chan Phyo, and daughter of Maw Naing.
