Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of November 13, (1260) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (2) fallen heroes today. These (2) fallen heroes from Pobba Thiri Township in Naypyitaw Territory and Tabayin Township in Sagaing Region were killed on a previous day and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.

As of November 13, a total of (7251) people are currently under detention. (289) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.

Kyaw San Oo, living in Zee Kone Village in Naypyitaw Territory’s Pobba Thiri Township, was arrested on October 15, and killed in interrogation on November 12. Kyaw San Oo was transferred to Htonebo Police Station in Pobba Thiri Township and a lawsuit was filed against him after he was interrogated for almost two weeks at Ywar Taw Interrogation Center. Kyaw San Oo was tortured to death in interrogation after he had appeared before the court on November 11. 

On November 11, terrorist junta troops raided Aung Si Myay Village in Sagaing Region’s Tabayin Township and arrested a local called Thein Htike and took him to the forest which is located south of the village. The troops placed his hands on back and shot him dead in the back of his head at close range.
