Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of November 12, (1258) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (5) fallen heroes today. These (5) fallen heroes from Pulaw Township in Tanintharyi, Kawlinn Township in Sagaing Region and Natmauk Township in Magway Region were killed on a previous day and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.

As of November 12, a total of (7202) people are currently under detention. (289) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.

Wai Linn Thu was shot dead by Infantry Battalion 285 junta soldiers on November 11 at around 3 am, while she was working at a rubber field in Jat Gar Village in Pulaw Township, Tanintharyi Region.

On November 11, the bodies of three civilians were found in a field with gunshot injuries and their hands tied behind their backs. They were arbitrarily arrested by terrorist junta troops on November 7, near Shan Kalone Village in Kawlinn Township, Sagaing Region. These three civilians are Satt Aung and his son Phoe Chit, who is a ninth grade student, and Myint Ngwe. 

On November 10 at around 10 pm, terrorist junta troops arrived at Sa Khan Ma Village in Natmauk Township, Magway Region, and opened fire while youths were playing a game at the top of the village. A youth named Wai Thu Aung was shot dead in his chest and leg and another named Hein Myat Thu was beaten and arrested.
