Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of November 1, (1253) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (1) fallen hero today. This (1) fallen hero from Htantabin Township in Bago Region was killed on a previous day and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.

As of November 11, a total of (7144) people are currently under detention. (287) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.

On November 9, the family of Ye Naing Aung a.k.a Ko Ye were informed to retrieve his body. Ye Naing Aung a.k.a Ko Ye was selling electronics, Mont Hnin Khar and fried rice in Natt Village, Htantabin Township, Bago Region. He was arrested on suspicion, 30 minutes after a bomb blast at the village administrator’s office in Natt Village on November 8. 

On the morning of November 11, Win Shwe was arrested as a hostage, when the junta did not find his son, Ye Kyaw Swar. Ye Kyaw Swar is NLD campaigner of Taungdwingyi Township and secretary of A Phyu  Yaung Thitsar Emergency Rescue Team in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region.

Yoon Lei Po, aged 17 years old, living in Makyikone Gyi Village in Myothit Township, Magway Region, is a first-year student majoring in chemistry at Magway University. Yoon Lei Po was arrested by the terrorist junta on the evening of November 9, for alleged association with the People’s Defence Force (PDF).
