Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of November 5, (1242) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (1) fallen hero today. This (1) fallen hero from Taze Township in Sagaing Region was killed today and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.

As of November 5, a total of (7038) people are currently under detention. (297) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released. 

May Zin Kyaw, a mother of a two-year-old child, was shot in the head in an unprovoked shooting by terrorist junta soldiers and died on the spot. May Zin Kyaw was at home on the morning of November 5 in Taze Township, Sagaing Region when shot after a bomb blast near No (2) Basic Education High School where the junta troops were stationed.

Four women including a 17 years old tenth grade student were arrested on the night of November 3 in Thandwe Township, Rakhine State for allegedly providing financial support to the PDF. On November 4, one of the four women were released, and three others charged under the Counter-Terrorism Law and remain in detention. The three female detainees are 17 years old Theint Aye Tun, 28 years old Tin Sandar Win, and 35 years old Myat Yii Phyo Kyaw.
