Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of October 27, (1218) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. AAPP compiled and documented (5) fallen heroes today. These (5) fallen heroes from Poungdei Township, Hpyu Township and Taungoo Township in Bago Region, Yekyi Township in Ayeyarwady Region and Shwegu Township in Kachin State were killed on previous days and documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of October 27, a total of (7026) people are currently under detention. (299) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1954 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
On the early morning of October 26, terrorist junta soldiers raided Kyo Pin Thar Village in Poungdei Township, Bago Region. A local villager, named Chit Shine was shot dead by the junta. Chit Shine was evading arrest for being involved in an anti-coup protest. He was shot dead after an informer of the junta reported that he had returned home.
On the morning of October 26, Khu Tha La, assistant abbot at the monastery in Yin Shay Village, Yekyi Township, Ayeyarwady Region, was shot dead in the chest by terrorist junta soldiers. He was killed while returning from Ngathaingchaung Town, where he was shopping. A novice, who went with Ku Tha La, was shot and wounded his ear.
