Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (8,148) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.

A total of (31,315) people have been arrested by the junta for opposing their arbitrary seizure of power. Of those arrested, (14,401) are confirmed to still be in detention, while (7,901) remain to be verified.

These are the numbers reported by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.

The junta continues to commit crimes against humanity and war crimes on a daily basis, including launching offensives into villages inhabited by civilians, conducting arson, carrying out airstrikes and abducting and killing civilians.

During the first week of July, junta force offensives in Chauk Township and Pauk Township, Magway Region, caused nearly 20,000 civilians from more than 20 villages to flee their homes. At the time of writing, they are in urgent need of food and medicine.

On July 1, a local civilian was shot dead in Baw Mi Village, Shwethaungyan Town, Pathein Township, Ayeyarwady Region and three other local residents were arrested on suspicion of being members of a revolutionary force. On July 2, four civilians were killed in an airstrike on Oe Pon Taw Village, Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region.
