Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (8,371) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.

A total of (31,920) people have been arrested by the junta for opposing their arbitrary seizure of power. Of those arrested, (14,811) are confirmed to still be in detention, while (7,874) remain to be verified.

These are the numbers reported by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.

Civilian casualties continue to rise as the junta has carried out widespread attacks targeting civilian areas throughout September. According to data collected by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), (62) civilians, whose identities have either been confirmed or are currently being verified, lost their lives between September 1 and September 14 due to various attacks, including airstrikes, perpetrated by junta forces.

On September 7, an airstrike by junta forces into Tin Tein Yan Village, Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, resulted in the death of seven civilians. Additionally, between September 10 and 13, aerial attacks on Ponnagyun, Toungup and Gwa Townships in Rakhine State killed five civilians and injured six others.
