Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (8,222) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.

A total of (31,619) people have been arrested by the junta for opposing their arbitrary seizure of power. Of those arrested, (14,635) are confirmed to still be in detention, while (7,908) remain to be verified.

These are the numbers reported by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.

According to the data collected by AAPP, from July 1 to 31, 2026, (74) people in total; (18) women and (56) men, were killed by the junta across the country, including (8) children under the age of 18. The identities of these victims have been verified. Among these deaths, Magway Region recorded the highest number of fatalities, totaling (30), followed by (13) people in Bago Region and Rakhine State, respectively. During the stated period, the AAPP has also received information regarding the death of (52) civilians, as a result of junta attacks, whose identities have yet to be confirmed.

On July 28, at approximately 10:30 a.m., junta forces conducted an aerial bombing on villages in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region. The bombs exploded in Pauk Kan Bu Tar Village, killing Myint Than, an internally displaced person (IDP) from Shwe Pyi Village, Singu Township, due to bomb shrapnel. Additionally, the bombs also struck Sa Mun Village, killing Myint Maw, a local woman, also from bomb shrapnel.

Within this period between July 1 and 31, the junta arrested (8) people in total; (1) women and (7) men, in relation to the Spring Revolution across the country. Among them, (4) people were arrested in Ayeyarwady Region, (1) each person in Chin State, Mandalay Region, Rakhine State, and Shan State.
