Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

Date – 30 January 2025
Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (6,231) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.
Since the coup, a total of (28,433) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power. (21,711) are currently in detention, (10,199) of whom are serving sentences.
These are the numbers verified by AAPP. The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
According to the data collected by the AAPP, from January 1 to 30, 2025, (18) children in total under the age of 18, were killed by the junta across the country, with (15) were killed by the junta’s airstrikes and the other (3) were killed by the junta’s artillery strikes. The identities of these victims have been verified. In addition, during the stated period, the junta killed (10) people who were the age of 60 and over, across the country. These are the numbers that have been verified. Among the deaths, (8) people were killed by the junta’s airstrikes and the other (2) were killed by the junta’s artillery strikes.
On January 28, at 12:35 p.m., junta forces stationed in Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region, conducted a drone bombing in Pyin Yae Village, killing a woman named Sann Myint, due to bomb shrapnel.
