Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (6,007) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution.
Since the coup, a total of (27,755) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power. (21,192) are currently in detention, (9,560) of whom are serving sentences.
These are the numbers verified by AAPP. The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
According to the data collected by AAPP, from November 1 to 30, 2024, (80) people in total; (34) women and (46) men, were killed by the junta across the country, including (20) children under the age of 18 and (13) people over the age of 60. The identities of these victims have been verified. Among them, Rakhine State recorded the highest number of fatalities with (21) victims, followed by (18) deaths in Sagaing Region. Among (80) deceased, (41) people were killed by the junta’s airstrikes making the highest cause of death, followed by (21) by the junta’s artillery strikes.
On the evening of November 27, junta forces fired heavy weaponry into villages within Pekon Township, Shan State. The resulting explosions killed A Bel Linn and her children, Elista and May Thazin Oo, from Kone Paw Village, Lu Ral from Shwe Sann Village, Aye Myat Thu from Paw Oo Village, and Maria from Thit Yar Kone Village, all due to artillery shrapnel.
