According to monitoring by the Documentation and Research Department of AAPP, in recent weeks, the junta has been increasing its airstrikes and attacks with heavy weaponry, leading to a significant rise in civilian casualties and deaths.

Moreover, junta forces have been indiscriminately firing various weapons, launching offensives, and setting fire to civilian locations across the country, including Kanbalu Township in Sagaing Region, Pauktaw Township in Rakhine State, Paungde Township in Bago Region, Launglon Township in Tanintharyi Region, and Madaya Township in Mandalay Region. This has resulted in civilian houses being burned down, and locals have had to flee for safety.

Furthermore, junta forces have fired various weapons and raided Kyauk Kha Mauk and Ka Net Thi Ri Villages, and Kywe Min Kone Village Tract in Thayetchaung Township, as well as villages in Launglon Township in Tanintharyi Region. As a result, around 10,000 locals had to evacuate their locations, and some locals were also taken away as human shields.

AAPP will continue to inform on verified daily arrests, charges, sentences, and fatalities in relation to the attempted coup, and update the lists with details of these alleged offenses.
