Spring Revolution Political Prisoners death row list

It is now known, the terrorist junta extrajudicially executed four political prisoners – Ko Jimmy (aka) Kyaw Min Yu, Phyo Zayar Thaw, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thura Zaw. According to the Burma Jail Manual – paragraph 1027 – graves shall be marked with “the name of the deceased, his residence and the date of his death”. Executed bodies must be buried not cremated, failure to do this is an act of murder and disappearance.
According to AAPP investigations, (2) children, who were sentenced to death penalty by martial court, are still facing trial at juvenile court, therefore those two have been moved to ‘facing trial list’. In addition, 1 man and 1 woman initially sentenced to death have had charges changed to life imprisonment due to successful appeal to the court.
AAPP verified another (4) persons who were sentenced to death today, therefore there total 76 post-coup death row prisoners as of July 28, 2022, who are at risk of this same treatment. Click on the below link to view the names of those political prisoners under-detention facing death sentence.
