These are the numbers reported by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.

According to the data collected by AAPP, from January 1 to July 17, 2026, the junta arrested (64) people in relation to the Spring Revolution: (25) women and (39) men, across the country. Moreover, during the stated period, (32) people in total: (6) women and (26) men, were given prison sentences under specious charges by courts subservient to the junta across the country. Among them, (9) people were sentenced in Rakhine State, recording the highest number of sentences, followed by (6) people in both Bago Region and Yangon Region.

Sister Benedetta Nya Moe is from the Sisters of Charity of Saints Bartolomea Capitanio and Vincenza Gerosa: a religious order providing healthcare and humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Loikaw Township, Kayah State. On June 10, 2026, the sister was inspected by junta forces along with two locals, while transporting a displaced female patient to hospital. Then, their mobile phones were inspected, and they were arrested when junta forces allegedly found Kpay mobile wallet transfer records of received donations and information regarding the armed conflict on their phones. While the two locals were released four days after their arrest, the sister remained in detention. On June 24, 2026, a military tribunal sentenced her to 8 months in prison, and she was subsequently sent to Loikaw Prison.
