MNHRC Meeting with AAPP in Rangoon
On June 6, 2017, representatives of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission (MNHRC) Chief Director Phone Kywe, Directors Thura Kyaw and Human Rights Commissioners U Yu Lwin Aung, Dr.Myint Kyi and staffs visited The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), at their Rangoon office. Staff members from AAPP explained the organisations history, activities, vision, mission, objectives, and discussed how they will cooperate with the MNHRC regarding the situation of political prisoners who are still incarcerated. Following this discussion, the MNHRC representatives were shown around AAPP’s small museum.
