Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (617) houses and buildings have been sealed off by Junta between February 2021 and May 2022.
As of June 7, 2022, (1906) people are confirmed dead and murdered by the junta. AAPP compiled and documented (1) fallen hero today. This (1) fallen hero from Khin-U Township in Sagaing Region was killed on June 4, but documented today. This is the number verified by AAPP. The actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.
As of June 7, 2022, a total of (10976) people are currently under detention. (1119) people have been sentenced in person, of them 73 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). (120) people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 41 sentenced to death. This makes a total of (114) who have been sentenced to death. (21) people have been released on bail and (3035) people have already been released.
The armed wing of the junta raided Thar Ga Ya Village in Khin-U Township (Sagaing Region) on the evening of June 3, and burned down the houses the following morning. There was one recorded death of a civilian: 78-year old Shi, who was unable to escape in time due to ill health, and who was burned alive.
The armed wing of the junta stationed in Yinmarbin Town of Sagaing Region opened fire with heavy weaponry on June 5, at around 7 PM, resulting in the death of Chit Ko Ko living in Ward (A) of Yinmarbin Town. Chit Ko Ko was eating at his home when the attack occurred.
AAPP will continue to inform on verified daily arrests, charges, sentences and fatalities in relation to the attempted coup, and update the lists with details of these alleged offenses.
