Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

According to AAPP documentation, at least (570) houses and buildings have been sealed off by the Junta since the 2021 coup up until April 2022.
As of May 12, 2022, (1835) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. Today, there were no confirmed fallen heroes. This is the number verified by AAPP, the actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of May 12, 2022, a total of (10621) people are currently under detention. (1064) people have been sentenced in person, of them 68 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1977 are evading arrest warrants. 120 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 41 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 109 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. The exact identities and total figure remains to be verified, but we will continue to confirm the recently released.
On May 10, at around 6 PM, a freelance reporter called Maung Myo (aka Maung Maung Myo), who has worked for outlets including Mekong News, was arrested by junta forces and charged under Section 52(a) of the Counter-Terrorism Law. Maung Myo (aka Maung Maung Myo) was on an express bus from Myawaddy to Mandalay when pulled over by the armed wing of the junta on Thanlwin Bridge. He was arrested after troops found news shared on Facebook when checking his phone.
On the morning of May 9, the armed wing of the junta pulled over a passenger vehicle going from Hnan Khar Village and Gangaw Town, at the (1) Ward crossroads checkpoint in Gangaw Township, Magway Region. A villager from Hnan Khar called Nandar Hlaing was arrested after political posts were found posted on her Facebook through the phone.
